About this item
The Q-Compass is a compact, high-precision digital compass sensor created specifically for space and weight-sensitive robotics applications such as drones and autonomous vehicles. Weighing just 1.1 grams (OEM) and 3.1 grams (rugged), this ultralight sensor provides accurate heading data via 3-axis magnetometer readings, making it ideal for navigation tasks.
- Ultralight and Compact: With small robotics and drones in mind, the Q-Compass is designed to be ultralight and one of the smallest form factors in the market.
- Professional Grade RM3100 Compass: Powered by PNI’s proprietary magneto-inductive technology, this compass provides outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, fine resolution (10 nT) and low magnetic hysteresis. Its repeatability and precision make it an ideal solution for applications requiring high-accuracy heading information.
- I2C Interface: Q-Compass can work with microcontrollers and SBCs alike because of widely used I2C communication protocol. It supports configurable I2C address. Default address is 0x20 and configurable to 0x21 by soldering a pad.
- Made in North America: For critical applications that require NDAA compliance, the Q-Compass is the right choice since it is manufactured and assembled in North America.
- Dimensions: without side tabs: 20.25 (L) x 17 (W) x 12.25 (H); with side tabs: 20.25 (L) x 27.2 (W) x 12.25 (H); OEM: 16.9 x 13.68 (W) x 8.55 (H). All dimensions in mm.
Q-Compass is one of the smallest and lightweight compass in the market, so you can fit it in your space and weight constrained robots.
